Flower shop story of the day....... Mrs. W (one of the old ladies that we check on every few weeks) called us today. She let us know a couple of months ago that she was now in a nursing home. She ordered flowers earlier today. She called back a few minutes later and the conversation went like this.....
Aaron: Good afternoon Peggy's Bouquets.
Mrs. W : I'm hungry
Aaron: What would you like to eat?
Mrs. W A hamburger from McDonalds Restaurant.
Aaron: What do you want on it?
Mrs. W: A slice of onion, no ketchup
Aaron: What room are you in?
Mrs. W: I want mustard
Aaron: Where are you?
Mrs. W: You can get it at McDonalds
Aaron: I'll bring it to you.
(with that Mrs. W hangs up)
After hanging up, Aaron realizes that the golden arches does not serve sliced onion. I reminded him that the McDonalds here in Bessemer City does. They are not part of the golden arches. They are a local mom and pop restaurant.
Aaron had to look at caller ID and google the number to figure out where Mrs. W was.
She called back a little later to say Room 31 and hung up.
She is a bit abrupt.
Aaron took the burger to her and she immediately started eating.
We love Mrs. W. We know that underneath that abrupt and pleasantly rude facade, she is a really sweet lady.
A big shout out to McDonalds Family Restaurant of Bessemer City for the hamburger.
