The holidays are always a busy time around the flower shop. During the holiday season, friends, old and new stop by to wish us a Happy Thanksgiving, a Merry Christmas or a Happy New Year. We always enjoy the visits. The holiday season is a festive time of year. We try to keep some sort of snack available to our customers and our staff. One of the favorites is a cheese ball that my mother always prepared for any holiday or special occasion. I am going to share the recipe with you.
Cheese Ball
2 8 ounce blocks of cream cheese
1/3 cup chopped bell pepper
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 8 ounce can crushed pineapple (drained)
2 tsp season salt
2 tsp worchestershire sauce
2 cups chopped pecans divided
Mix first 6 ingredients together. Add 1 cup pecans and mix well. Divide mixture in half and form two balls. Roll the cheese balls in the remaining chopped pecans. Refrigerate for a couple of hours then serve. You can also freeze these for future use.
